Please buy with confidence, I have decided to part with some of my collection that I've amassed over the past 35+ years, everything from 78's classical to metal, rock and even a few new 180gm pressings.
On offer is The Lp - Sibelius Symphony No.1 in E minor - BBC Symphony Orchestra Conducted By Sir Malcolm Sargent.
1958 Stereo Pressing on the Hmv Records Label - ASD 260 - Matrix No's - 2YEA 73-6 & 2YEA 74-3.
Vinyl - Visual - Ex - The vinyl is visually in excellent condition, a few very fine hairlines at start of side 2 visible under strong light, the surface retains a lovely sheen, The Labels are clean with no obvious wear, .
Playback - Ex- - The Record plays excellent throughout although with occasional small tics and an occasional small click being heard - No skips or jumps etc.
I have played 100's possibly 1000's of these older pressings over the years, it's normal to get some light tics, clicks, light static crackle or even the occasional pop on the vast majority of vinyl pressings even when they are in as excellent a condition as this one, I have perhaps found only a couple of records over the years that played absolutely perfectly without any of these normal features of vinyl.
Sleeve - Vg - Provided in the Original Sleeve as pictured which has some age related wear although nothing too bad as can be seen in the pics, a small tear to the front sleeve at the opening edge being the most obvious - see pic 6.
Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality.
Please note: A mid range technics turntable was used to play test the Record - Playback Results may vary on Inferior or Superior quality playback equipment.

Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening of sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration etc...

Fair: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise: it may even jump. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
