Description

A very nice copy of the Sidewinders funk LP "Flatfoot Hustlin'" out of my hometown Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Case has no holes or cut outs. In VG+ condition due to slight edgewear and some creases.  Vinyl is very clean. I would rate it VG visually as there are some marks and lighter scratches that put off some very faint background noise in spots. Still very good overall, especially given how rare it is. This is my final copy of this album so good luck finding it later!!!

Original Canadian private pressing.

LP REVIEW:

Rare Canadian funk from the 70s -- played by a hip little group who've also got a jazzy flavor too! The Sidewinders are a bit like American ensemble funk acts of the time -- in that they can have an upbeat, tight approach to the groove when they want -- but they also have a great ear for some gentler moments too, and sparkle almost even more on some of the ballad numbers on the set. Even the fuller groovers have some great standout elements -- including sax bits that soar nicely out of the larger horn section -- and overall, the album's got a great sense of character and personality, and is far more than just a few cats from up north trying to copy an American groove. Titles include "I Like Your Stuff", "A Voyage", "I Like To Dance", "Time For Loving", "Flat Foot Hustlin", "Can't You Feel The Fire", and "Gift To The Sun".

All shipments over $100 will need to be shipped with tracking and insurance for full coverage. I will not lie about prices when shipping, so do not bid if you expect me to put lower prices on the package as it illegal to do so in Canada. I will gladly combine shipping to reduce costs. If prices seem steep it is Canada Post, not me, that is to blame. Also, I ship as soon as possible, usually the next day after receiving payment. If it takes a while and you have chose the cheapest shipping option, this is why it is taking as long as it is, not because I have not shipped it. Patience is a virtue I would appreciate.
