Description
This auction is for a hardcover book entitled, “Alice’s Restaurant Cookbook”. Written by Alice May Brock with a recorded introduction by Arlo Guthrie. Published by Random House in 1969. It states, “First Printing”, on the copyright page and has the large signature in blue ink on the title page, “Alice M. Brock”. The book measures about 10 1/4” x 7 1/4” x 3/4”, 148 pages, many photographs; some in color, lots of drawings and recipes by Alice herself. Still attached to the back inside cover is a “Flexi Disk” record that has never been detached or played. The titles on the record are: 1. Italian-Type Meatballs and 2. My Grandma’s Beet Jam. This book is in great condition with the exception of some bumped corners and some yellowing on the spine. Otherwise, flat, bright and tight. No tears, tape, writing, library marks, food stains or smells. Remarkable for a cookbook. A low reserve on this Hippie classic.
