Description
Extremely rare late 70s boxed set version of the legendary Musical Version of the War of the Worlds by composer Jeff Wayne.
Included in this set are: 1. Original double LP of the classic album with gatefold sleeve 2. Bonus 12" single featuring The Eve of the War/Horsell Common and the Heat Ray 3. 1979 reprint of the original HG Wells novel 4. Fantastic huge poster showing the front cover of the album in HUGE detail 5. Booklet containing the iconic paintings and artwork for the album release
As an added bonus, the black box is SIGNED BY JEFF WAYNE on the cover, with his unique sign off 'Ulla!!'.
The vinyls in the set are in great condition, with only minimal wear to the sleeves. The novel is quite battered and does have someone's name in the inside cover. The massive poster is in very good condition, no rips or creases. The outer black box does have some marks to it, particularly in the bottom left corner where I think a sticker was attached when originally sold.
In the era of the album being toured and re-recorded, don't miss this chance to own a wonderful piece of ORIGINAL memorabilia (it even has that old LP smell!!) which has been signed by the great creator of this hugely influential album.
