As I continue on my trek towards old fartdom, I'll be listing a lot of my way cool books, LPs, 45s, CDs and music-related memorabilia on eBay in the coming months, so be sure to check back every once in a while, won't you?
Like many, this long-playing record comes from my personal collection. The autograph obtained in person shortly after album's release when I worked in the music business way back when. After working w/ Michelle on a radio gig I asked if she'd be nice enough to sign my album and she kindly obliged. She asked if I wanted it personalized and I said put whatever you want on it. So, being the activist she is, she did. The notation refers to New York graffiti artist Michael Stewart. Shortly before 3 a.m. on September 15, 1983, police arrested Stewart in a 14th Street subway station for writing in felt-tip marker on the wall. Within an hour, officers brought him to Bellevue Hospital. Stewart had no pulse or blood pressure. He was revived but remained comatose until his death 13 days later. Cover, vinyl and original inner sleeve are in overall very nice condition. Upper left of cover has a promo notch. Thanks for checking out my eBay offerings!
