Sigur Ros celebrate the 20th anniversary of Takk with a fully remastered vinyl box set, revisiting their fourth studio album, one that finally established and popularised the ambient, wordless explorations first expounded on ( ). This time the band returned to Icelandic lyrics, punctuated by Vonlenska - or "Hopelandic" - a lyrical gibberish invented by the band, heard fully on tracks like 'Andvari', 'Gong', and 'Milano'. Anchored by standout singles 'Glosoli', 'Saeglopur', and 'Hoppipolla', Takk blended sweeping post-rock crescendos and ethereal stormclouds.
