Description

  • Simon And Garfunkel released their fifth and final studio album "Bridge Over Troubled Water" in January 1970 on Columbia Records. This landmark record reached No. 1 on the charts all over the world as it went on to sell well over 25 million copies. In addition to the title track the album also contains the hit singles "Cecilia" and "The Boxer."

  • This copy of (KCS 9914) is from the First Pressing more than 50-years-ago and is in excellent condition. The cover still has its original Factory Shrink Wrap (note two small pieces of tape to help hold it on) and is in near-mint condition. Please see the pictures. The disc with the original two red eye "360 Sound Stereo" labels test plays cleanly and is easily VG+ which is as high as I go on vintage vinyl. It was mastered at Customatrix and was pressed at the Columbia Records plant in Santa Maria, Calif. The Side One dead wax is stamped 0 XSM150685-1H and etched c3 S.

  • In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve.

  • Free shipping is included in the special corrugated album mailer seen in the last picture.

  • This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 51 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
