SIMON & GARFUNKEL "The Hit Sounds of S & G" 1966 STEREO LP
the Pickwick Record Co issued this 10-song LP(somewhat illegally) back in 1966
in an effort to cash in on the huge success of the S&G pop/folk/rock phenom that began in 1965
-- even using CBS artwork/images on the back cover!!
the LP was pulled from the shelves after some litigation
NOTE -- THIS IS NOT AN ALBUM OF FOLK/FOLK-ROCK MUSIC
this LP consists of much earlier teen pop/doo-wop material from the late 50's
when they recorded as Tom & Jerry on the Big Records label
it's great stuff -- but NOT "For Emily..."-era material
"Hey School Girl" and it's flip side "Dancin' Wild'(included here)made the national charts
the record & cover grade somewhere between EXC++ to NM-
both show very little play/handling -- you'll be very happy!!
THIS ONE IS A BEAUTY!!
