Complete copy of this hard to find vinyl record album.  The record we are offering here is the rare version that was released in October, 1968 and available for five months only at a few select retail stores that featured products by the Singer Sewing Machine Company.  This was as a Promotional tie-in with Elvis’ upcoming 1968 Christmas Television Special on NBC TV, which Singer had sponsored.  This record was later re-issued with no mention of the Singer Sewing Machine Company on the cover. 

This LP also includes the Singer color photo of Elvis with his RCA catalog printed on the back, the color Singer brochure about this Elvis TV special, and the original RCA Victor Elvis LP catalog inner sleeve. 

COVER: The cover is overall nicely preserved.  It has a couple of chips in the paper covering the spine, some light surface wear, and a few light creases along the spine and bottom edge.  It grades a nice VG+. 

VINYL: The record retains a considerable amount of its original glossy luster.  It does show some scuffs and a few light scratches, however we did not notice anything that can be felt on the grooves.  This LP grades a strong VG. 

PHOTO: The color Elvis photo grades NM. 

BROCHURE: The Singer brochure grades EX.

All of our LP's are shipped in sturdy cardboard LP mailers with appropriate padding.

With the exception of sealed LP's, all LP's are removed from their outer sleeves to prevent seam splitting. Upon request, we will give your sealed LP's the same treatment.

All records are carefully graded. In an attempt to give customers an accurate impression of condition rather than adhere to somewhat arbitrary criteria, The Great Escape gives an "overall presentation" grade; we do not give a "listening" grade. Our vinyl listings are supplemented when necessary with additional remarks. For example: where some dealers will not allow a cut corner on an otherwise near mint jacket (often automatically relegating it to a VG+ at best), we may grade such a record as NM and note the cut-out mark (thereby letting you know what it "really" looks like: a near-perfect record with a cut corner). LPs are graded cover first, followed by the grade for the vinyl.
