SS: means Still Sealed, any defects such a "cut-out" holes in the jacket will be noted in the description

NM : Near Mint, almost like a brand new record.

M- or MINT- : means mint minus, no notable scratches or wear  probably rarely played

VG+ : There will be signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice.

VG : Very Good - a used played copy. There will be obvious signs of wear expect surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages.

VG- : Very Good Minus - significant wear and marks and surface noise.

G or G+ :  "good" - In the record grading world, "Good" is NOT good. beat-up and only guaranteed not to skip.
