OK so high starting price because don't think it has come up for sale before and I don't want to let it go cheap because it's pretty good and would rather keep. Price could be too high or it could go for a lot more. If it doesn't sell I will add it to my own collection.
This is the same band that did the Burt Reynolds EP. From Oldham or thereabouts in Greater Manchester. I bought this from a record shop in Manchester years ago. Musically it surely dates from '88-'90. I would guess at 1989.
The A side is a good slightly psychedelic indie pop track sort of similar to what Telescopes or Mary Chain were up to around then..bit less harsh..bit of feedback guitar. If you like 14 Iced Bears World I Love you will probably like this although this is a little more reserved. Flip is again good..slower tuneful effort with a wah wah guitar ending. Bit Mock Turtles ish..good melody.
It's not really a C86 record as it sounds slightly later but it's good indie from the time. I lived in Manchester at the time and I'd never heard of them. The Burt Reynolds EP has been compiled though as you probably know if you are reading this. There is another band called Sister Rain which is why I included Burt Reynolds in the title. It is not on this record.
As I said I will give it a week auction and see what happens..
Record Condition: VG++..nice sheen..some very minor scuffing..plays great. No issues.
Sleeve Condition: Plain White
