Herbert von Karajan conducts the Philharmonia Orchestra in a programme of six Rossini overtures.
Works on disc: Overtures to (German spellings follow) Die Italenerin in Algier, Semiramis, Die Barbier von Sevilla, Wilhelm Tell, Die seidene Leiter and Die diebische Elster (Rossini).
Record details: EMI Columbia SMC 80 850. German release / pressing. There is mention of Electrola on the label, which may be where the disc was manufactured. Stereo 12" 33rpm LP.
Condition of disc: A fine, clean and glossy disc with little evidence of having been played.
Date of issue: Undated.
Condition of sleeve: Very good - excellent. Inner sleeve is excellent. Notes are by Spike Hughes.
