Description

This auction is for the 7" SAMPLER AUDITION flexi-single and Information booklet promoting "THE BEATLES COLLECTION 1962-1970". In 1976 World Record Club released this boxed set of The Beatles 24 UK singles (THE ONES WITH THE GREEN PICTURE SLEEVES) which could only be purchased by Mail Order. Some months prior to this these one-sided flexi-disc samplers were sent out to members to promote the release. This is one of those and it comes with the 6 page booklet given information about the boxed set (including a list of the singles included). Both flexi and booklet come in the ORIGINAL MAILER (see photos). I think there should have been an application form but this is missing - I assume the original owner did in fact therefore send off for the boxed set. All contents are in EXCELLENT condition and the flexi is NEAR MINT as it has been kept inside the booklet inside the envelope. However there are some light marks on the disc but these seem to be in the vinyl and been a result of the manufacturing process. Please remember the quality of sound reproduction on flexi -discs is always below the standard or normal 45 rpm's.

POSTAGE AND PACKAGING CHARGES FOR THIS ITEM ARE :- UK - £1.30 EUROPE - £2.00 REST of the WORLD - £3.00

TRACKS - A "mini" documentary with snippets of 5 original Beatle songs and an advert for the Boxed set SF1291

BOOKLET - EXCELLENT PLUS- clean with no tears creases or writing etc

MAILER - EXCELLENT PLUS - some very slight creasing - remember it was sent through the postal system and survived remarkably well (see photo)

DISC VISUAL - EXCELLENT PLUS - no dinks or creases and only light marks which seem to be in the vinyl from the manufacturing pocess - these do not affect the play

DISC AUDIO - EXCELLENT PLUS- plays without any surface noise and remember it's a flexi! - you won't find better.

I PLAY ALL RECORDS PRIOR TO LISTING ON EBAY AND TRY TO GRADE USING RECORD COLLECTOR MAGAZINE GRADINGS. PHOTOGRAPHS SHOW THE ACTUAL ITEM YOU WILL BE PURCHASING.

A great piece of history sampling a great boxed set. Most of these would have been thrown away so they don't come around much in any condition and this one will be hard to better! . At a sensible starting price this is a great (and different) addition to your FAB4 collection. (Buyer will not be disappointed). Feel free to contact me with any questions. GOOD LUCK!

PAYMENT METHODS - I NOW accept Paypal ONLY for ALL transactions - its immediate and means you receive your item quicker. UK bidders please contact me if you NEED to pay by UNCROSSED postal order and we'll sort something out.

Please note I am selling most of my Beatles memorabilia, books and vinyl and vinyl by other groups/artists of the 1960's (some later) when time allows so please keep watching my listings for hard to find, unusual, rare and not so rare but cracking stuff.

POSTAGE & PACKAGING - Postage in the U.K. is generally by First Class Post. Reduced rates if second or subsequent articles included in same parcel (buyer to contact me for details before or after auction closes) See my rates for UK postage (includes cost of packaging). I TAKE GREAT CARE WHEN PACKAGING PARCELS - AS A COLLECTOR AND EBUYER MYSELF I WANT YOU TO RECEIVE AN ITEM THE WAY I WOULD WANT TO RECEIVE IT. (In the case of vinyl I use professional mailing envelopes with an extra card stiffener) HOWEVER, ONCE THE ITEM IS IN THE HANDS OF THE POSTAL SERVICES I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE AS THIS IS BEYOND MY CONTROL. POSTAL INSURANCE IS AVAILABLE AT AN EXTRA COST TO THE SELLER WHO MUST NOTIFY ME IF THEY WANT TO PAY THIS EXTRA. CLAIMS FOR COMPENSATION DUE TO DAMAGE OF LOSS ARE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE BUYER BUT I WILL, OF COURSE, AID THIS PROCESS AS MUCH AS I CAN BY PROVIDING RELEVENT INFORMATION, HELP AND SUPPORT.

RETURNS POLICY - All items will be well packed and proof of postage will always be gained from Post Office. I am sure you will be happy with your purchase but if you feel the item is not as described please contact me to arrange return and refund OF THE FULL PURCHASE COST BUT EXCLUDING P&P COSTS.
