Welcome to 'Its the vinyl countdown' music auctions. Here you will find some of the most incredible rare records and music memorabilia for your collection. We play through most of the records, unless the item is clearly mint, or sealed..in which case we don't play them, thus maintaining their 'unplayed' status!  Obviously with some of these rare items there will be the odd 'anomoly' along the way , the odd little static pop or lead in 'sizzle' for a split second.. nothing is perfect we find! all systems differ, but we aim to describe these as accurately as possible for you.... PLEASE ENJOY THIS ITEM YOU ARE NOW LOOKING AT..

THE VINYL   EX

As you can see, this vinyl is the highly 1st EARLIEST 1972 pressing  - Stored from new this LP has seen AVERAGE plays only, and remains in pristine condition everywhere. Bearing in mind how many copies were trashed at parties and poor record decks back in the glam rock days!

This HEAVYWEIGHT pressing is a super vinyl which has retained its amazing glossy sheen and finish. There is no dulling anywhere and overall it is in incredible condition for an LP of this age. The edges are silky smooth, typical of these vintage pressings. We are seing fewer and fewer copies of this LP, so rarely do we see a copy at all like this.

We can see just a few tiny spider lines around the centre hole, and no wear to the spindle hole whatsoever.

SURPLUS WAX AROUND THE CENTRE HOLE.

There are a few light whisp lines, a few tiny hairlines and thats it-  nothing else!  No scratches or marks.  Clearly this LP has been archived for many many years, and therefore there are a few little dust specs on the vinyl when we slid it for checking..IT REMAINS IN ASTONISHING CONDITION.

A professional hoover clean could bring the vinyl back to a higher grade as when we listened to it,  there is some light dust crackle in the dead grooves, but no sticks or jumps.. and as there are no scratches or bad marks anywhere so this is a great one to bid for.

THE LABELS   MINT-  FLAT MATT LABELS

THE SLEEVE     MINT-  SIMPLY PRISTINE. 

Correct LAMINATED first UK issued earliest sleeve  - with square 'pinched' spine.

PRINTER CREDITS -  MacNEILL PRESS   (beware German printed sleeves added to UK vinyls!)

 This is in simply incredible condition, quite amazing how it has survived so clean. The lamination pulling so tight it creates the 'bowed' effect on the top seam..stunning!

The edges are all super clean with no real traces of rub, at all , and all colours and inks remain in outstanding condition

No  ringwear - Some very light ring press only front and back.

The open edge remains in immaculate sharp condition -with the usual fluff build up where the lamination stops short .

The spine edge is superb, as new with the pinched tapered ends as in all first sleeves..

a couple of tiny spider lines on the edges.
