Slim Harpo: I'm a KIng Bee / I Got Love If You Want It
Stateside SS 557, UK, 7", 1966
Probably the two best Harpo tracks from Excello released in the UK on Stateside "Soul Supply".
King Bee still has the same effect on me it had when I bought it in 1966. This is the one with the wailing harp played miles away in an echoey tin box, the amazing minimalist one note guitar break, and the "whoooommpp" bass line. The last of the blues singles I'm flogging, and IMHO the best.
Condition - record very good / excellent. One moderately careful owner. On the A there is a bit of light background crackle, though I can't see why. Only a few light surface marks.
In original Stateside paper sleeve, intact and in good shape, with corner crumpling and one tear at the hole (visible in scan).

EXCELLENT The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have very slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.
GOOD The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
