You are bidding on "ONE MORE DAY" and "YOU'LL BE SORRY ONE DAY" by SLIM HARPO on EXCELLO 2162 recorded in May, 1959 in Crowley, Louisiana.
Slim's real name was James Isaac Moore, was born in Lobdell, Louisiana in 1924 and died in 1970.
Slim Harpo sings and plays the harp, Fats Perrodin is on bass and and Clarence Etinenne is on drums. I can't find out who plays the stinging guitar, but it is really well done. "One More Day" is just about my favorite Excello blues song. "You'll Be Sorry" is a mediocre up tempo blues.
I bought this record new in the spring of 1961 at Rose Record Store on Wabash Avenue in the Chicago Loop. They were cleaning out their 45 rpm files and had thousands of 45s for sale at six for a dollar. I bought lots of Blues, R&B and R&R, many of which I had never heard. This was one of them.
I'm not a record dealer, but am getting up in years and am starting to sell my small collection, as my children and grandchildren are not interested.
Condition: Probably a VG. The wear is light with a little surface noise. This has always had a "tinny" sound as do many other Excello records I 've had. It's been stored in a Decca 45 album for 40+ years.
