SLS 5110 b/w p/s PROKOFIEV: IVAN THE TERRIBLE, etc.
1978 EMI stereo/quadrophonic recording boxed set of 2-LPs on black/white postage stamp labels (first label). Prokofiev’s Film Music for Ivan the Terrible Op.116 (arranged in the form of an oratorio by Abram Stasevich) with soloists Irina Arkhipova and Anatoly Mokrenko, plus Prokovfiev’s Sinfonietta Op.5/48, both works performed by the Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Riccardo Muti.
The two discs have no visible marks and we have not played them. The 16-page booklet is near mint. The box has rubbed corners and edges, a 4cm tear in the paper covering and an 8cm split on rear box.
