EXTREMELY RARE! SLY & THE FAMILY STONE LP. "DANCE TO THE MUSIC" on UK DIRECTION LABEL S 8 63412 from 1968. THE ALBUM FROM WHICH THE GREAT TITLE TRACK WAS TAKEN AND BECAME A FAMOUS SINGLE WHICH IS STILL ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL, MEMORABLE & ICONIC LATE 60s PIECES OF FUNK. ON UK PRESSED "DIRECTION" LABEL, THIS IS VERY RARE. THERE ARE SOME OF SLY'S ALBUMS AROUND ON EPIC & AMERICAN PRESSINGS, BUT THIS UK DIRECTION LABEL LP IS SELDOM SEEN. IT HAS THE RAW/TEXTURED LABEL DESIGN INDICATING THAT THIS IS THE VERY FIRST PRESSING.
