Another from my personal collection! This is the original (stereo) German pressing very rare and very scarce copy! These earliest  pressings can not be beaten for the best audio quality than any other format out there in my opinion. Please note, This album is listed for its rarety rather than for its condition Note: There is some scuffing wear and tear on the cover and some surface marks/scratches on the vinyl but the main thing is that the audio is truly awesome throughout! There are some isolated static type ticks/background crackle/pops heard in quieter places but over all this is a very playable and extremely enjoyable record in my opinion. Absolutely superb Audio for the most part, but importantly because the vinyl is one of the very first to be pressed the audio is truly exceptionally vibrant and clear!  I have carefully played the vinyl through prior to listing at very loud volume on a top system. This is complete with the original poly lined record sleeve and 1st issued laminated cover. Very rare/earliest original (stereo) the earliest and most sought after, amazingly vibrant audio!

Small Faces is the second studio album by the English band Small Faces released via Immediate Records in June 1967.

It peaked at number 12 in the UK Album Chart and was their first LP for Immediate in 1967.

In America, the album was issued with an alternative track order as There Are But Four Small Faces.

Confusingly, the band's debut album, released on Decca in 1966, is also entitled Small Faces.

At the time of the release of this album, an unofficial compilation From the Beginning was released by Decca.

Small Faces had transferred to the Immediate label headed by Andrew Loog Oldham.

At the beginning of "All Our Yesterdays" Steve Marriott can be heard in an exaggerated cockney voice announcing "And now for your delight ah, the darling of Wapping Wharf launderette, Ronald ah 'Leafy' Lane!!!".

An alternative version of the Immediate Small Faces, entitled There are But Four Small Faces, was released in the United States somewhat belatedly through Columbia Records distribution.

The album is a favourite of Small Faces obsessive Paul Weller, who named the album in his 'Top Ten of All-Time' in 1992. The Jam had covered 'Get Yourself Together' between 1981–1982. Donovan (a friend of the Small Faces) recorded "Hurdy Gurdy Man" (1968), a song that both musically and thematically references "Green Circles."

Side one

"(Tell Me) Have You Ever Seen Me" – 2:16
"Something I Want to Tell You" – 2:10 (lead vocal by Ronnie Lane)
"Feeling Lonely" – 1:35
"Happy Boys Happy" – 1:36 (Instrumental)
"Things Are Going to Get Better" – 2:39
"My Way of Giving" – 1:59
"Green Circles" (Marriott, Lane, Michael O'Sullivan) – 2:46 (lead vocal by Ronnie Lane)

Side two
"Become Like You" – 1:58
"Get Yourself Together" – 2:16
"All Our Yesterdays" – 1:53 (lead vocal by Ronnie Lane)
"Talk to You" – 2:09
"Show Me the Way" – 2:08 (lead vocal by Ronnie Lane)
"Up the Wooden Hills to Bedfordshire" (McLagan) – 2:05 (lead vocal by Ian McLagan)
"Eddie's Dreaming" (Marriott, Lane, McLagan) – 2:54 (lead vocal by Ronnie Lane)

The Matrix

Side 1 ''YRX 50503-1'' (Earliest 1st Stereo Matrix)

Side 2 ''XRX 50504-1'' (Earliest 1st Stereo Matrix)

The Vinyl

On initial inspection the vinyl looks awesome retaining its original mirror like sheen. The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and is free of any warping! ! Thicker and chunky slab of vinyl only found on 1st pressings like this! Note: Angled in very strong light can possibly be seen very few and minor blemishes \scuff marks. Note: These have very little if no effect, perhapes cause isolated static type interference in the form of isolated ticks/pops/crackle heard in some quieter places. Importantly there is no loud constant clicks or pops and certainly no skips or jumps. Also to note there is no distortion or signs that this has been over played at all!

The Audio Quality

I have very carefully played this vinyl two times at very loud volume on a top system! The audio is truly stunning, cristal clear and very vibrant throughout! Without any distortion what so ever. This audio is so vibrant and clear very very enjoyable indeed! Note:I heard some isolated background interference in some places in the form of static type ticks/pops and light background crackle in some places. Please note that I play these vinyls at very loud volume. There was nothing too bad  in my opinion that spoilt the overall enjoyment of this awesome album! The audio is graded at least excellent plus to verty near mint for the most part in my opinion. Very playable and enjoyable. 49 years old!  I would class myself as highly critical when it comes dpown to the audio quality, Please look at my completed listings of records that I have sold of this calaber and you will see that I normaly get it right!!

Summary: The vinyl plays through without skips or jumps and no distortion. There is background crackle/ticks/pops in some places and in between some tracks.

Please note I always add this disclaimer! Please allow for the odd static ticks\crackle/pops   (not) consistant throughout the audio! Please remember that this is a genuine 49 year old vinyl that would have originally been played on a 49 year old system! Grade at excellent inmy opinion, (with light interference as noted above)

Please note! This album has been stored in a case laying dormant for at least 45 years! A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves causes static crackle\ticks. A constant clean before each play is recomended! This will reduce any static and enhance the audio quality!

The Labels

These are the original white/red gold rim Columbia labels in superbe condition (see photos) Spidering can be seen angled to the light only. There is little if (no) spindle ware the hole is perfectly round!

The Record Sleeve

This is plain white poly lined sleeve without splits or tares! Light creasing/browning with age. This is the original and the record is now always stored separately from the sleeve and cover!

The Cover

This is the original 1st issue German printed fully laminated  cover! Please note,  There is general wear and tear in the form of  laminate scuff marks on the  front of the cover, and some small creases and a small tear at the opening edge at the rear.  There is light rubbing ring wear . All text can be read at the spine. There is (no) edge splits or tares and the rear is generally clean with slight browning with age!  Still strong and straight Graded excellent in my opinion.
