A LOVELY COPY OF THIS MONO RARITY
CONDITION REPORT & PHOTO GALLERY AUDIO: Overall grade EXCELLENT(-); as with all of my records, this has been play graded from start to finish. Both sides played through nicely without any jumps or sticks. The record delivers a bright and bold audio with mainly just some surface 'rumble' in run-ins and between tracks. 
Up until 'Sha La La La Lee' I would grade the sound as EX, but there is then a click in the right channel that lasts until the end of the next track (You really Got a Hold On Me). A little static towards the end of side two. A great listen overall. 
VINYL VISUAL: VERY GOOD; the vinyl has retained a nice sheen but has noticeable light scratches and surface marks. Looks reasonable; plays much better than it looks.  
LABELS: Both EX/EXCELLENT(+); nice and clean with just some spindle tracing. 
SLEEVE: EX/EXCELLENT(-); the front laminated sleeve is of the 'Clarifoil' design whereby the laminate folds over the spine and onto the right hand edge of the rear. Overall, it is a very nice example. Lovely and clean to the front with some feathering to the opening edge and one small 2cm tear. Some ring wear to the rear (see photos below). 
SPINE: EXCELLENT; just some very light wear. All text clearly legible
INNER: The original inner is in reasonable condition, but has some age browning and creasing. the poly-lining is intact but is coming lose.

GRADING

All of my records have been play tested before listing using a Rega P3-24 turntable with Ortofon 2M Blue cartridge & stylus. I describe honestly and accurately but please bear in mind that I am only human and such things are always subjective. I tend to grade records conservatively and believe that my feedback speaks for itself. 

I will never grade a used record as Mint as I do not believe that a second hand record ever truly can be. Therefore, if I grade as Near Mint or Excellent(+) then you can assume that is as near to Mint or Archive quality as I believe it can be. Please take confidence from the fact that I have been a collector myself for over 20 years (please check my feedback as a buyer) and know only too well how disappointing it is to receive an inaccurately described record.

I also grade visually using a strong halogen lamp.

I use the Record Collector grading system as shown below.

POSTAGE / SHIPPING

I post worldwide and pack all records in custom made (stiff) card mailers and add extra packaging inside to ensure a safe delivery. I will provide a protective polythene sleeve and the record and inner will be removed from the outer sleeve to prevent seam splits in transit. I want your record to get to you in the condition that it was when it left me.

For any records that come with printed inner sleeves, I will also provide an additional plain inner.

As a general rule, shipping costs will be discounted.

RECORD COLLECTOR GRADING SYSTEM

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
