SMALL FACES - SMALL FACES

(U.K. Decca LK 4790) 1966 Mono

-with front-laminated sleeve, Decca inner and deep groove, UNBOXED labels.

Matrices (machine-stamped):

1   XARL-7217-4A  

1   XARL-7218-3A  

OUTER SLEEVE – VG

one crease along ring-wear line top left hand side & a few minor creases on front of sleeve laminate.

-very good seams and fully-legible spine slightly squashed in places.

-ring-wear to rear sleeve and discolouration however all printing is intact

-No splits on sleeve.

 

VINYL – VG+ / VG

Visual – VG+ half a dozen scratches on A-side mostly light, one spindle caused light scratch on B-side

Playback – VG and much better - Play-tested in headphones from start to finish (in mono).

A few light clicks can barely be heard for the first half of S1-T5, in addition to a few pops during the first 30 seconds of S2-T5. The audio quality is brilliant throughout.

 

LABELS – VG+

Would grade as EX if it wasn't for multiple spindle marks in centre of labels.

 

INNER SLEEVE – VG+

Correct & original poly-lined Decca inner sleeve with no seam splits.
