Description
Firstly, I am NOT a record dealer, but I am a record collector. The LP's I am selling are from my personal collection that I am selling due to a combination of downsizing and upgrading.
Here is a seriously rare ORIGINAL 1966 FIRST PRESSING of the Small Faces' debut self titled album. This is on the ORIGINAL "Unboxed' GROOVED DECCA LABELS! This killer debut LP is now seriously rare indeed. Most copies were taken to wild parties and seldom survive to tell the tale! The first pressings of this album are very LOUD indeed! The mono mix is an absolute knock-out and is certainly an enjoyable listen!
The cover is very clean and presentable. There's NO WRITING, NO STAINS, NO SPLITS and a FULLY LEGIBLE SPINE. The front laminate still retains a deep shine and only has one slight crease in the laminate which is only noticeable when held under a light. The four corners are PERFECT which shows that this LP has been looked after. Unfortunately, the back cover has some foxing and ringwear, although it is free from the usual discolouration and staining that is evident on this LP. All round, a very nice cover, but due to the slight flaws to the rear cover, I'm grading the cover a MEGA STRICT Very Good- according to STRICT GOLDMINE GRADING STANDARDS TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT. This record has not been overgraded in any way.
The labels are clean and free from writing or discolouration. However, there is some spindle-wear present. The vinyl has the earliest matrix of -4A on both sides. It still retains a deep shine, although has some marks and slight scratches when held up to strong light ALTHOUGH NONE OF THEM ARE FEELABLE. I've played the vinyl through on TOP QUALITY EQUIPMENT AT LOUD VOLUME TO REVEAL ALL FLAWS. The vinyl plays all the way through with some surface noise and a few clicks/ticks and the odd pop. The audio quality is certainly still present and still enjoyable - especially when turned up LOUD!!! I'm grading the vinyl a MEGA STRICT Very Good ACCORDING TO VERY STRICT GOLDMINE GRADING STANDARDS TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT. This record has not been over-graded in any way. I've thoroughly enjoyed listening to this album, and it's a perfectly acceptable copy to have in any collection: DO NOT MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO ACQUIRE A GENUINE FIRST PRESSING OF THIS RARE ALBUM!!!
Postage will be £3.00 for First Class post to the UK Only. Mainland Europe (excluding France and Italy) will be £7 for standard delivery. If you're wanting me to post to another country, please ask BEFORE BIDDING! It is my policy not to over-charge on postage, so any over-charges will be refunded. All LP's are sent in custom mailers, with card packing, a protective sleeve and the record removed from the sleeve to avoid damage.
Finally, the auction will start at £5 with NO RESERVE and will continue to the end. Any questions at all, feel free to ask. Happy bidding and good luck!!!
