SMALL FACES SMALL FACES
Label : Decca Cat No : LK 4790 Matrix : XARL 7217-5A / XARL 7218-3A
Mothers Stampers : 1-DK / 1-OH Issue : RARE UK Original Unboxed Mono Press
This is a UK Original press of the debut Small Faces LP. This early press has the 5A/2A matrix, the heavy original 60's vinyl, the unboxed red Decca Mono label and the earliest James Upton laminated sleeve.
The vinyl is in Very Good+ condition. The vinyl has the most sensational mirrored gloss, the grooves show no sign of heavy play at all, there is just one light mark and a few wispy hairlines. The original plain red grooved Decca labels are exceptionally bright and completely clean. The colour is solid and unworn, the text is sharp and there is just a light spindle wear a few spider marks.
The sound quality is Excellent. The vinyl lies completely flat on the turntable and the sound is exceptionally rich and warm. Just very light background noise but certainly nothing that spoils the enjoyment of this album at any point.
The sleeve is in Excellent condition. The image is sharp, the text is clear and the laminate is completely flat with no bubbles or creases and still has the original superb mirrored gloss. The back of the sleeve has some discolouration. The text is sharp and unworn and the whole sleeve is solid with no folds or creases. The earliest pinched spine is firm with clear text.
