The Small Faces were already well-established as one of the most exciting bands in the British explosion when they released their first LP in the US. Taking their already-released Small Faces album from the UK, There Are But Four Small Faces added US hit 'Itchycoo Park', 'Here Come the Nice', 'I'm Only Dreaming', 'I Feel Much Better' and 'Tin Soldier' and omitted no less than seven tracks. As such, it's a wholly different listening experience for the early days of the premier exponents of the freak beat, but whatever the case the songs leap out and grab you by the ruff of the neck. It's redolent of that late-60s era and quite frankly still one of the greatest rock albums to come from British shores, now repressed on heavyweight magenta vinyl.
