Description
Up for auction is a copy of Earth b/w Step On Me by Smile, released in 1969 on Mercury cat no 72977. The only release from the band that would evolve into Queen, and featuring Roger Taylor & Brian May in the line-up. This single has been bootlegged many times over the years, but this copy is guaranteed to be an original first pressing (the giveaway signs are that it’s pressed on styrene rather than vinyl, and “MR” is written in the dead wax). Very rare & desirable.
Condition: some marking on the a-side, a couple of feelable scratches, but everything plays through with a few clicks, but no jumps or sticks. The b-side looks & plays much better, and is a better song too (in my opinion). A little minor wear on the label. A-side G+, b-side VG+.
My grades: I use a 10-point scale: M-; EX; VG+; VG; VG-; G+; G; G-; F (fair); P (poor). I never use mint as a grade for used records. I am a long-time (25+ years!) record collector, and play-grade where possible. I don’t use stock photos: the item pictured here is the item for sale. My feedback from buyers indicates I normally undergrade in listings. Even so, if you have any problems, I'll give you your money back (less shipping costs), no questions asked. Buy with confidence! Any questions? Need any more photos or an audio sample? I'm only an email away.
Payment: UK- cheques (preferred) or Paypal. Rest Of World- Paypal. Email for other accepted methods of payment. Shipping: £2.50 (UK 1st class), £3.50 (UK recorded), £5 (Europe) £6.50 (rest of world-airmail). Insureance recommended for orders over £25.
