Description
Here's a somewhat unknown 7" from an Ohio-based artist named Larry Smiley. He released this 7" in 1981 on the Bizart label. It's called Voice of the Planet: Paintings and Musical Compositions. It's more or less an artist's book; comes in a nice hand-stamped dust sleeve with a stapled insert that includes pictures of several of his paintings. The music is full of tape effects, tinny guitars and recorders and homemade instruments. Not exactly easy listening, but it sounds somewhat like a super-lo-fi HNAS at times. This is definitely rare and worth owning if you like experimental stuff!
the booklet/sleeve is VG++ with just some very minor ring wear and sticker residue; the vinyl is transparent green and looks VG++ and plays fine.
The songs are:
Antiseptic Latitude
Sphere of Knowledge
Arisen
Lanky Movements
I have LOTS and LOTS more records to come! Buy now, buy next week, and the week after that, and after that, and then wait a week, and then buy more!!!
I can ship multiple items at once, of course (for just a little bit more per each additional item). And I can wait to ship items if there are more items you're interested in bidding on! If you win multiple items, please wait for me to send the invoice (so you don't pay too much for shipping).
All records are shipped in secure carboard packages, are well-padded, and ship with the records outside of the sleeves and stored in a plastic outer sleeve to ensure safe delivery in the same condition in which they leave my house.
