Description
SOCRATES - ON THE WINGS (Greece/Polydor LP/2421 030/1991) 3rd lp originally released in 1973 and this is where it all comes together and pays off in most wonderful ways. This album brings in more progressive elements than the first two lps, there are also Greek folk influences and the playing is confident. To my ears and sentiments, this most resembles in sound and approach the Third Power lp - or at least enough reference points that fans of one will surely savor the other. The top seam has a miniscule mark where it looks as if the cover printing didn't quite adhere there. Otherwise, this is like new. Cover = M- Vinyl = M-
What made them so remarkable was the guitar playing of Spathas. Even today listening to the solos he played in 1972 I still can't believe the music he was making. Brent Lambert of Kitchen Mastering, quite a guitar player himself, after hearing several Spathas solos from thirty years ago said "If this guy had come to America he would be a guitar hero and everyone would know his name." If you liked the way Hendrix, Ritchie Blackmore, Jimmy Page and Eddie Van Halen play you will love Spathas and if you play guitar yourself you will wonder "If this was thirty years ago and he is still playing how good must he be now?" USA: $3.00 Media Mail for the 1st lp, $0.50 each additional lp; $6.00 Priority Mail. $1 for each additional lp.

Europe: $12 Airmail
Japan/Australia/New Zealand: $13 Airmail

Multiple Item Shipping: I do combine multiple winning bids into one package to save you on shipping costs.
Outside USA: Add $1.50 for each additional lp shipped by Air, up to 3 lps in package. I will provide a shipping quote for larger overseas packages. I do try to charge only what it actually costs to ship to you.
Insurance: Optional and recommended. Request and I will quote, at cost. Non-insured packages cannot be guaranteed against damage or loss.
All items are guaranteed to be as described as regards condition of the vinyl and the cover and may be returned for the full winning amount, less shipping, if you are not satisfied that the item is as described.
PAYMENT: Paypal (preferred), money orders, personal checks against USA accounts (must clear first), international money orders. Do not send cash, please.
