This rare set is in Near Mint condition
The famous Solti / Culshaw recordings are regarded as one of the finest interpretations of Wagner's epic masterwork, and were originally recorded as four separate sets between 1959 and 1966.
This complete set was released in 1968.
The outer box contains 4 sets of records in separate library cases
Each set has it's own illustrated booklet which includes the full libretto in German and English.
These booklets were specially produced for this presentation set and are lavishly illustrated with photographs and line drawings. They include biographies of the principals and background articles written by John Culshaw. These superb booklets are collectors items in their own right as they were never reproduced in their entirety in later reissue sets.

I have graded this set very strictly in accordance with Record Collector grading system
Outer Case VG Superb thick board case with gloss finish and silver printing on black background. There is some light wear which is clearly visible in the photographs (the white mark next to the name James King is a small tear in the glossy paper covering) Library Boxes 2 EX+/ 2 VG All four boxes have perfect hinges and corners. Das Rheingold & Seigfried have small marks on fronts and slight damage to paper surface on backs, VG. Die Walkure & Gotterdammerung have no noticeable wear, EX+ Sleeves EX+ The lined Decca inner sleeves are in almost perfect condition. Some have light creasing. Booklets 3 EX / 1 VG The booklets have a few creases, but all the pages are very clean and bright. There is a very small tear next to one of the staples of the Das Rheingold booklet and I have graded this VG Records EX+ I have randomly selected and played a few sides and the sound quality is excellent. All the vinyl is shiny and clean, and most look as if they have never been played. The labels are all very clean and there are no spindle marks
