Son House is a true blues legend. For sixty years, this album has been sat on a shelf, but thanks to Dan Auerbach's Easy Eye Sound label it is now seeing the light of day. It is made up of recordings from a 1964 gig in Indiana, which was a few months before he cut his debut album The Legendary Son House: Father of Folk Blues. Forever on My Mind features new versions of seven songs he wrote while on Columbia records as well as a fresh take on 'Preaching Blues' and the title track, which was never officially recorded in a studio so is as raw and real as it gets.
