Let me preface by saying in all honesty that I have NEVER, NEVER seen a single copy of this rare Pacific Northwest rock record EVER in my long life! It's the extremely rare MERRY CHRISTMAS album by Pacific Northwest rock legends THE SONICS, THE WAILERS, & THE GALAXIES in excellent condition...vinyl is glossy and plays fine with no flaws whatsoever...The cover, however, is in good+ shape with a small bash in the front right hand side..otherwise just very minor normal shelf wear.
This is the original Etiquette Records MONO pressing (ETALB 025) recorded by Bill Wiley in Tacoma, Washington and released probably in 1967.
With humor, high-energy blazing twang solos, the psych organ solos, the punk energy, the raw party rock on this rare vinyl record is a time capsule from a very far-out time. THE SONICS do SANTA CLAUS; DON'T BELIEVE IN CHRISTMAS; THE VILLAGE IDIOT; & IT'S CHRISTMAS. THE WAILERS contribute SHE'S COMIN' HOME; CHRISTMAS SPIRIT?; MAYBE THIS YEAR; & THE CHRISTMAS SONG. THE GALAXIES provide RUDOLPH THE RED NOSED REINDEER; PLEASE COME HOME FOR CHRISTMAS; & CHRISTMAS EVE.
Pop Syke cites most copies of this going for well over 200 dollars...it is truly rare. Add this to your collection of 60's psych records and have a groovy Christmas sock hop in your head. OR RE-SELL IT FOR BIG MONEY! Or just covet it and enjoy the vibe!
