SONNY CLARK “Cool Struttin’” RVG, DG, LAM, Blue Note BLP 1588 Mono Vinyl

This is “RVG” stamped, Laminated Cover, Deep Groove pressing of SONNY CLARK’s “Cool Struttin’” on the "47 West 63rd” labels of Blue Note BLP 1588. Musicians include Sonny Clark – piano, Jackie McLean – alto saxophone, Art Farmer – trumpet, Paul Chambers – bass, Philly Joe Jones – drums.

VINYL plays with consistent very light surface noise (i.e, crackle, static, ?? or ????, relative to the volume of the music/instruments), with occasional pops and ticks. Plays very well overall. Ensemble sections are clear, dynamic and strong. No skips. No distortion.  Good gloss. A few hairline marks, none feelable. (If you can’t feel it, you won’t hear it). The Deep Groove “47 West 63rd” labels are clean, spindle wear/marks. See photos.

LAMINATED COVER is in good shape. Corners worn. Seams and spine almost perfect, small splits at opening top and bottom. See photos. “BLUE NOTE RECORDS, 43 West 61st St., New York 23” back jacket is very clean. Small ink writing. Please see photos.

This LP was play-tested on a high-end audio system. RECORD CLEANED ON ULTRASONIC CLEANER.
