Description
SONNY CLARK: Cool Struttin', US Blue Note 1588 MONO LP in fantastic condition. This is the extremely rare 1959 pressing, with side 2 label including INC & R, while side 1 does not. Very few of these made, early transitional pressing when Blue Note changed minor details on their record labels in 1959. VINYL is extremely heavy, weighs in at around 205-210 grams. 9 M, RVG and 'P' (ear) in dead wax. VINYL is barely played EXCELLENT+, plays with superb EX++ to NM sound throughout! Exceptional sounding copy here! Please note the 'track-time' notations by each track on labels in thin pen. COVER is VG+ with a neatly reglued 6 cm upper seam split, see pics. A near invisible pin hole in each corner. Bottom and back spines are near perfect. A name, a date, a track time noted in thin pen on back, as well as an original retail price in thin pen too. REGISTERED SHIPPING for 1 to 5 LPs is 15 GBP only. Same charge for 1 or 5 LPs, or any number in between. 6-10 LPs will be sent in two packages at 30 GBP.
PACKING
Special UK-made extra-stiff-mailers designed for multiple LPs are used, even for single LP packages. The boxes are oversized and thus provide extra corner protection as well as great stiffness to the package. Additional protection may also be used when found nessesary, such as stiffeners, bubble-wrap, extra corner-protection. I do not charge anything for packing materials.
GRADINGS
MINT(-) is as close to new as a used LP or cover can get, unplayed or played 1-2 times at most with no visual signs of use on surfaces.
MINT- is superb, almost like new. No marks, scratches, clicks, noise, or anything else, aside from possibly a barely visible and inaudible hairline or two. All minor blemishes will be mentioned in the individual descriptions.
EX or EXCELLENT is also VERY nice, 2-3 light inaudible marks/hairlines perhaps, no disturbing noise, great sound quality.
VG+ is nice with light hairlines, a few marks maybe. Please see individual notes in case of VG+ or lower gradings.
