----- ORIGINAL PRESSING MARKERS ----- - New York USA labels both sides - RVG machine-stamped in the dead wax both sides - Plastylite "ear" (P) stamped both sides - No deep groove - Handwritten BN-LP-4091 matrix etchings - PROMOTION NOT FOR SALE stamps plus a radio station stamp on the back   cover - a genuine 1962 promo copy
----- THE MUSIC ----- Sonny Clark's final Blue Note session as a leader, recorded 1961 with Tommy Turrentine, Charlie Rouse, Butch Warren and Billy Higgins, plus Ike Quebec's tenor feature on Deep in a Dream. Hard bop essential, anchored by the classic slow blues Voodoo.
----- CONDITION ----- VINYL: VG (PLAY-GRADED). Graded from a complete high-resolution needle drop review of all six tracks, not just a visual once-over. Glossy surfaces with scattered light hairlines and a few longer thin scratches visible under strong light - none are feelable, all pass the fingernail test. Plays with a quiet, low-crackle background. Light recurring ticks in portions of A1 (Somethin' Special) and B2 (Voodoo) - most noticeable in quieter passages of B2 - occasional isolated light ticks elsewhere, and one louder pop near the start of B3. No skips. A2, A3 and B1 play especially clean. Labels are clean. Full-resolution audio samples of any track available on request - buy with your ears.
JACKET: VG+. Glossy laminated front slick with strong color. Promo stamp and radio station stamp on the back panel (see photos). Small chip with exposed board at the opening edge. Spine is clean and fully readable.
Record has been removed from the jacket for safe storage. Additional photos available on request.
----- SHIPPING ----- Record removed from the jacket before packing to prevent seam damage. Shipped in an audiophile-grade inner sleeve plus the existing outer sleeve, packed in a Whiplash heavyweight LP mailer. Insured to the full sale price. US only. Additional photos on request.
