Ein fantastisches Live-Doppelalbum des Mississippi Deltablues-Gitarristen Sonny Landreth mit zwei kontrastreichen Akustik- und Electric-Sets.

Der amerikanische Slidegitarrist Sonny Landreth gilt weltweit als einer der größten Meister seines Faches. Die Wurzeln des vielfach ausgezeichneten 66-jährigen Südstaatlers liegen im Rhythm and Blues des Mississippi Deltas. Ab 1981 hat der gefragte Studio- und Sessionmusiker ein Dutzend Platten unter eigenem Namen veröffentlicht, die ein breites Spektrum von Rock, über Zydeco und Cajun-Music, Folk und Country bis zur Jazzfusion abdecken. Mit seinem 2015 erschienenen letzten Studioalbum "Bound By The Blues" wandte Landreth sich nach längerer Unterbrechung wieder kernigem, ursprünglichen Bluesrock zu. Darauf folgt nun ein Konzertmitschnitt, der seine gesamte bisherige Karriere eindrucksvoll Revue passieren lässt: "Recorded Live In Lafayette" wurde im Januar
diesen Jahres in den USA aufgenommen. Die erste CD beinhaltet ein rein akustisches Live-Set, die zweite CD ein elektrisches Konzert-Set.
