We can accept payment by any of the following methods:
Paypal is preferred. We also accept U.K.Cheques,Postal orders and International Money Orders all payable in Pounds Sterling only. No other forms of payment are accepted.
IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE MAKING PAYMENT
Instances are still occuring where overseas buyers are making payment without checking the shipping costs to destinations outside of the U.K.While fast payment is much appreciated, the substantial difference in rates cannot be absorbed. We try to make shipping costs on each item as clear as possible and rates are quoted for all destinations on each listing. When payment is made via Paypal it is not adequate just to pay the balance via a second payment as Paypal make a further charge as if a separate transaction. This invariably seems to occur on small monetary value items and the charges become totally disproportionate to the cost of the item.If you are not sure of the shipping charges PLEASE DO NOT PAY UNTIL AN INVOICE IS RECEIVED FROM FIREBIRD RECORDS.If incorrect payment is made we will have no alternative but to refund the total payment and request that the correct amount be paid.On several occasions recently where underpayment has occured, requests for additional payment have been ignored but despite this we have forwarded the goods. In future no items will be sent until correct single payment has been made.If no response is obtained within 7 days of request, the sale will be declared void and the item withdrawn from offer.Again we would apologise to the great majority of our ebay customers for having to restate this and who seem to have no problem reading and understanding our shipping costs.
We can ship at the following rates. All rates are in addition to the auction price realised and include the cost of recorded delivery plus basic insurance up to £34
U.K. First Class: £3.30
Eurozone: £7.50
United States,Japan and the rest of the World: £9.50.
Enhanced insurance rates will be quoted where applicable
Local U.K. Standard 1st Class Post [certificate of posting obtained]: £2.60
Regular air mail [not recorded] to Eurozone is £4.00,U.S.A.,Japan and rest of world £6.00 but please remember this is uninsured.
We can offer reduced shipping costs on multiple purchases.
IMPORTANT:PLEASE NOTE: The maximum liability for lost parcels that Firebird Records can accept for items sent standard Recorded Delivery within the U.K. is £34.00.On items valued over £34.00,Royal Mail Special Delivery is recommended. The cost is an additional £3.50 over and above Recorded Delivery and items are insured up to a value of £500.Overseas parcels sent standard rate Recorded Delivery are insured to a limit of £34.00.Additional insurance up to £500 is available for an extra £1.50 over and above the standard rate.Where applicable, additional insurance rates will be offered and Firebird Records' liability for lost parcels will be limited accordingly.
OVERSEAS PACKAGES ARE NOT INSURED FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE UNLESS MAILED RECORDED DELIVERY/INSURED. RECEIPTS OF POSTAGE ARE ALWAYS OBTAINED BUT CLAIMS FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE CANNOT BE ACCEPTED BY FIREBIRD RECORDS UNLESS ITEMS ARE SENT RECORDED DELIVERY. THIS OPTION WILL ALWAYS BE OFFERED AND WE STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT BUYERS CONSIDER THIS BEFORE PAYMENT IS MADE.
RETURNS: We always endeavour to describe all items honestly and accurately. However if you ever feel that an item does not match the description, please do not hesitate to contact us for a full refund including cost of return postage. We would ask that you advise us of any problem by e-mail within 7 days of receipt of the item.
We normally contact all successfull bidders at end of auction and if necessary invoice direct rather than using Ebay as this allows us to make alternative methods of posting much clearer especially with more valuable items. All items will be held for a maximum of 14 days after end of auction. If payment is not received within this period we reserve the right to withdraw or relist the item[s] and negative feedback will be left. If no contact is made by the winning bidder within 7 days from end of auction, a Non Paying Bidder Alert will automatically be posted. We are quite happy to hold items over if bidders wish to continue bidding in following auctions but please advise us accordingly. If there is a problem with making payment within the specified period [holidays etc] please advise us before bidding. Receipt of payment is always ackowledged and items are normally posted out within a maximum of 48 hours after payment. We do not post over weekends so there may be a slight delay where payments are received on Friday or Saturday. Regarding feedback, in the past we have always left feedback on receipt of payment. However due to the increasing number of members who in return seem incapable of observing this most basic of Ebay protocols, this policy is now under review.
Would successful bidders please not use checkout but await receipt of invoice from Firebird Records before paying.
Please note Mailing rates to your area.Correct postage rates must be added on to the final auction price.
