SONNY TERRY I Think I Got The Blues LP
1983 AUSTRALIA INTERFUSIONl-38056
These are Sonny's last recordings originally released in the USA on Alligator.
Brilliantly produced by Johnny Winter who also plays exemplary guitar this is tough stuff indeed - more along the lines of electric Chicago style blues than the folk style that Sonny had done with Brownie McGhee in the preceeding years.
This is definitely a "turn it up loud and have a good rocking party" album.
Also featured are Wiile Dixon on bass and Sonny's regular drummer Styve Homnick on drums.
I can't praise this album enough - there is a lot of taste and style displayedhere.
Tracks are: I Got My Eyes On You, Sonny's Whoopin' The Doop, Burnt Child, Whoee Whoee, Crow Jane, So Tough With Me, Whoo Weee Baby, I Think I Got The Blues, Ya Ya, Roll Me Baby
The sleeve shows a bit of age and shelf wear but has no splits, tears or writing.
The record is in excellent condition with no scratches, scuffs, sticks, clicks or pops - it rings out loud and clear.
