The word fucking is scratched out on the front and back cover
This is a beautiful copy from 1969 with a very clean cover, sharp corners and no punch hole.
Record executives overlooked the minuscule profanity during initial shipping and the first promos.
They immediately had staff scratch it out using a small razor / pick.
They cut slits through the shrink wrap to accomplish this censoring.
The master art was changed and all future printings were blank in that area.
One of the coolest bands around during the late 60s San Francisco.
Complex melodies and rhythms are a mixture of Jazz. R&B and Psychedelic instrumentation, Hammond B-3 organ and searing guitars can be experienced all at once.
Some impressive scat vocals by Bill Champlin who'd go on to teach many SF Bay Area singers, including his son Will Champlin. Bill also sang with CHICAGO for over 27 years, leaving the band in 2009.

Cover Description / Assessment: EX with 2" top seam split at opening
NM / M-: Our highest grade, like new, most likely never played.
EX: A record that has a few visual imperfections that will not affect the sound, likely played only a handful of times or never at all.
VG+: A few more surface marks than an EX. The record has probably been played before but well taken care of and should play with very few audible imperfections.
VG: The record will display light surface scuffs and marks. Expect some surface noise in parts or a few clicks or pops here and there. A VG record will play with very minimal noise and will still be quite enjoyable.
VG-: The record may have some deeper audible scratches. There will be some clicks and pops more consistently than that of a VG record but will play without skipping.
G: The record will have heavy wear, deep scratches and very apparent surface noise, clicks or pops.
