This one is hard to let go ! It's the first copy I've seen, and it's in quite beautiful condition. For anyone who doesn't know it, it's one of the rarest coxsone albums, featuring Roland Alphonso, Jackie Mittoo and Alton Ellis among others. Classic tracks like The Whip and Pressure & Slide feature. 

To give you a clear idea of condition, let's start with the cover. The front is uncreased and very clean, the spine is also very clean, the edges are fine. The rear sleeve has some light soiling, probably quite easily removed. There is two very small tears on the open edge back cover, which I've scanned below, otherwise there's no damage at all.

 If you look at the label scans below, you'll see they've hardly been touched, no spindle wear at all and super clean.

The vinyl itself looks as if it's had only a couple of plays, the sound quality is great. It's certainly never been doctored in any way, artificially cleaned or skimmed. The forth track on the b-side has the only clear mark on the record, which plays without effect. You can see a couple of ultra fine sleeve marks when held to a light, but it's as near mint as you'll ever see this album - if you ever see another.

Grading guide;

Mint = New.

Near mint = Not new, but either unplayed or with no significant evidence of wear to the cover or vinyl.

Excellent + = Some evidence of use, maybe light sleeve wear, or faint sleeve marks to the vinyl. No scratches, tears, writing etc, and generally very clean.

Excellent = Still in overall good condition. Possible storage edge wear or ringwear to the cover. Vinyl is still in very good condition, but there is the odd mark, light scratch. Should still sound and look ok, but is clearly used.

Very Good = This grade means there is some significant signs of use to the cover, vinyl or both. There may be deterioration of sound quality, light cover damage etc.
