Description
THE SOUNDS OF NIGHT-45-“Sorrow” b/w “It’s Alright”-HAP Records #HP-653-116-Crude and cryptic 1967 San Angelo TEXAS Garage-Punk-I REALLY like BOTH sides of this-despite the fact that it is NOT a powerhouse garage-punker-it has the ‘straight out of the garage’ sound-really crude, and as mentioned, cryptic. The B side is especially Killerkool; great chorus-guitar dominated-reverb-laden at times--Great track really; sort of reminds me of a crude VIRGIN SLEEP. A side is NOT the Merseys number-an original—errie teen ballad—really cool vibe—as I said-like both sides—in that cryptic, inept teen-ballad mode.
Condition: Record is VG+ or better; literally NO wear, but has some light and superficial surface/paper scuffs visible in certain light angles.
Label has radio station ID on A side as well as date stamped on both sides (see photo).
