Description

SOUNDS OF SILENCE “Runnin’ High” RARE 1967 Aussie 7” garage psych punk

Sounds of Silence – Runnin’ High 7” (orig. Australia Columbia MONO DO-5002)

Release date: July 1967.

On offer here is an ULTRA RARE original issue of the debut 7” single by Adelaide-based group, SOUNDS OF SILENCE.  Both sides of this 45 were written by guitarist MICK BUSUTTIL and are two of the FINEST AUSSIE 1960’s GARAGE PSYCH TRACKS EVER COMMITTED TO VINYL!  Bass guitarist, PETER TILBROOK, joined THE MASTERS APPRENTICES in the following year (1968).

According to the Rate Your Music (RYM) website, only 258 copies of this single were sold back in the day.  This may explain why it practically never turns up!
