Souvenir Arizona, Sing A Song For A Souvenir Of Arizona, LJR Souvenir Records 114. This is a very early 60's prized collectible LP from Arizona that rarely ever turns up anywhere but in Arizona, and it is rare that it even turns up here! Lonesome Long John Roller hosts this spectacular compilation album, which is done in radio program fashion, with Waylon Jennings sitting in. "Lonesome" was added to Long John's name after he accomplished the feat of spending 211 days and 23 hours alone in the Arizona sky breaking the world's flag pole sitting record! Tracks include Waylon Jennings - Rave On; Don Rollins - I'm Back; Donnie Owens - Sweet Angel In A Pair Of Jeans; Charlotte Dixon - Summertime; Herb Simms - How I Wish I Could Be With You; Bozo Darnell - Fool The World; Jimmy Gray - My World; Francis Clinton - You Care The Least Of All; Dave Curtis - Summer Love; Mavericks - Don't That Road Look Rough And Rocky, and Lonesome Long John Roller - Ten Years Ago. Jacket is in VG condition. Part of the lower left corner is missing. The top edge has a five inch split seam stemming from the mouth. The bottom edge has a one inch split as well. Record visually grades and play grades as a strong VG. Recently, I sold another copy of this record that was very close to mint (See auction #4042604111). Sadly, this one is quite so clean, but presumably it can be purchased at a more affordable price. When I sold the other copy, I made a CDR of it. A complimentary copy in addition to the record will be provided to the winning bidder of this auction upon request.
