Description
As follows:
Capitol SP 8518.
Rainbow Label First Pressing.
Mendelssohn & Bruch Violin Concertos.
Nathan Milstein.
Stereo Pressing, Made In Great Britain.
Condition Vinyl: Good+/Good+.
The LP has been well played, and has several unpleasant marks, the two most notable are shown in the photos.
The LP has been fully play tested, and it plays pleasantly well, despite the prominent surface marks. No skips or jumps; or any troublesome distortion.
Described below:
Side One features periods of light crackle with several instances of intermittent light pops and ticks. A few clicks are audible about two thirds of the way through the side. The ugly long surface mark shown in the photo does not adversely affect play, using a medium arm weight. Long passages of the final third of Side One are virtually free from any surface noise, and the quality is excellent.
Side Two starts with a passage of moderate crackle with some light pops and ticks, and a few more clicks and pops, the second half of the side plays with minimum surface noise and a few isolated clicks and pops.
A professional clean would benefit the sound quality.
The RRPG description of GOOD is given below:
"Description: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches".
NO RETURNS, please read descriptions, the price reflects the condition of this sought after LP; which has been fully play tested.
Condition Sleeve: GOOD.
The sleeve is well worn, and has major wear and also waviness, and tape reinforcing residue. There are a few splits to the opening edge (front and rear of the sleeve).
Please see photos.
