'Phonomorphosis ' is the title of the first studio album of Space Debris since the legendary ' Elephant Moon' from 2008 and was recorded in Mannheim, Germany by Jan Dewald . The sound is richer than usual. Drummer Christian Jäger once again plays a Ludwig drumset from the 70s, but this time with larger drum sizes, which immediately brings more weight to the sound. The record contains four 20-minute tracks, very different, highly varied Krautrock-Monster-long tracks in the genres of psychedelic rock , hard rock and fusion.
The entrance song ' Colossus Stranded ' floats with a long organ intro melancholy in the psychedelic guest vocals from Magic Petra, (the cover paintings, once again corresponding to the music, are also from her ), then mutate into a dreamy- contrasting hardrocker, the opposite end turns to a classic Purple-Battle between organ and guitar. The title song ' Phonomorphosis ' is very versatile musical trip using all registers of the Krautrock craft, drifting towards the end even in dub themes and psychedelic funk. The third long Track ' Cat Flow Deluxe ' sounds first like a zappaesque Blues, followed by coolness ala Doors and the end brings almost oriental but dirty rock . The song ' Journey Back To The Moon ' is very reminiscent of the first albums of Space Debris with heavy, distorted, wailing organ, as if it was recorded in 1970. It's the only song which was already recorded end of 2012 in a different recording session.

„Phonomorphosis“ ist der Titel der erste Studioplatte von Space Debris seit der legendären „Elephant Moon“ aus 2008 und wurde in Mannheim von Jan Dewald recorded. Der Sound ist fetter als gewohnt. Schlagzeuger Christian Jäger spielt diesmal wieder ein Ludwigdrumset aus den 70er Jahren, diesmal aber mit größeren Trommelgrößen, was für den Sound sofort ins Gewicht fällt. Die Platte enthält vier 20-minütige, sehr unterschiedliche, variationsreiche Monster-Kraut-Longtracks aus den Genres Psychedelicrock, Hardrock, Fusion.
Der Eingangssong „Colossus Stranded“ schwebt mit langem Orgelintro melancholisch in die psychedelischen Guestvocals von Magic Petra, (die auch die phantasievollen, auch diesmal wieder mit der Musik korrespondierenden Coverpaintings beigesteuert hat), um dann zu einem verträumt-abhebenden Hardrocker zu mutieren, der gegen Ende sich zum klassisches Purple-Battle zwischen Orgel und Gitarre wendet. Der Titelsong „Phonomorphosis“ ist ein sehr vielseitiger Musik-Trip unter Verwendung aller Register des Krautrockhandwerks, der gegen Ende sogar in Dub-Themen und psychedelischen Funk abdriftet. Beim dritten Longtrack „Cat Flow Deluxe“ gibt es zuerst geistreichen, zappaesken Blues, dann Coolness alla Doors und zum Ende geradezu orientalischen aber dreckigen Rock.
Das Stück „Journey Back To The Moon“ erinnert sehr an die ersten Scheiben von Space Debris mit schwerer, verzerrter, klagender Orgel, als ob er 1970 recorded worden wäre, es ist der einzige Song der in einer andere Aufnahmesession bereits Ende 2012 recorded wurde.
Eingespielt wurde Phonomorphosis erneut mit der Besetzung: Mitja Besen (bass) Tommy Gorny (guitar) Christian Jäger (Drums) und Winnie Rimbach-Sator (Keyboards) und ist als 2x140 gr-DLP-Vinyl oder CD-digipac über green-brain-krautrock.de erhältlich.
