Bemerkungen / Comments:
The Space Lady began her outsider odyssey on the streets of Boston in the late '70s, and moved to San Francisco ten years later. Dressed flamboyantly, she played her own versions of contemporary pop hits with an accordion, transmitting messages of peace and harmony. Following the theft of her instrument,
she invested in a then-new Casio keyboard, complete with a phase shifter and headset mic, bringing an otherworldly
new dimension to her material. Now living in Colorado, she has re-started her career, and on this collection you can hear
her weird versions of tunes known from David Bowie, The Sweet,
Steppenwolf, Electric Prunes, Johnny Kidd & The Pirates, Steve
Miller Band, etc.
