Description
This is an overall fine original U.S. pressing copy of the debut LP by British ska group the Specials, released in 1980 (the year after it came out in the U.K.). The multiracial group were at the forefront of Britain's "two-tone" ska revival, which arose in part in response to rising racial tensions in the country. The U.S. version of the LP is substantially identical to the U.K. version, but it features a different photo on the front cover, adds the group's debut single "Gangsters," and includes a rerecorded version of "Too Much Too Young" (the single version of which was a huge hit in Britain). The jacket has a gouge running across much of the front cover (which hasn't cut through the cover slick, however), light to moderate creasing along the spine and seams, spine wear, and light edge wear (EX-). The disc is clean with some light scuffing, and plays with some mostly light surface noise (EX-).
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
