another one suddenly becoming horrendously difficult to find. . .

you all know what a fantastic and important slice of Australian progressive art rock this gem is - loaded with 'heavy' philosophy and cool, laconic prog grooves. . .

this mesmerising 'spaced' atmosphere gives it a unique and special edge

and the brilliant loud mix (unlike many homegrown albums engineered by amateur technicians in substandard surroundings) keeps the light surface noise that all copies seem to have, way in the background

this is far and away the best I've heard in 35 years and out of dozens of examples

just try finding a better one. . .

I guess the Howard Gable production, with assistance from Roger Savage, Ernie Rose and Peter Andrew at Let It Be is the main reason for the great sound, aside from the sterling work of musicians Mike Rudd, Lee Neale, Bill Putt and Mark Kennedy, that is. . .

and what an amazing pedigree: Pink Finks, Party Machine, Sons Of The Vegetal Mother, Nineteen 87, Gallery, The Lost Souls

the record is very near mint - only a couple of the most minor superficial hairlines with light signs of handling and play

both labels are perfectly clean and like new, with only the faintest of spindle traces

laminated (front) cover excellent with just a few minor age marks on the unlaminated (matt) back which is snow-white so it shows every tiny flaw

top spine, sharp opening edges, tight seams, nice corners - no splits or tears - just tiny faint initials (TW) on the back at the top right corner, below the catalogue number

superb album without doubt, and one of the best of its kind from the early 70s - in fact this is completely proggin' brilliant. . .
