PLEASE DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOU RECEIVE THE CORRECT INVOICE FROM ME, ITEMS OVER £50.00 WILL REQUIRE REGISTERED POST !!!
This is a RARE UK DIY PUNK / NEW WAVE single by the band SPG from 1979 / 1980, ORIGINAL PRESSING AND A MUST !!!
Although the release date on the label states 1980, this copy comes with an original die cut sleeve with the release date of 26th January 1980, which makes it pretty clear the single was recorded in late 1979, this is my guess, but a logical one at that, WELL HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO GET AN ORIGINAL COPY !!!
The promo hand written sleeve apart from the release date also mention a gig for the band later in 1980 at a club in Folkstone kent.
The sound of the single is: SIDE A: is a mix of New Wave Diy Punk and even some Ska influence with some Synth in the background SIDE B.: follows on the same mixture but the vocals is very XTC influenced and this song has more of a DIY feel to it.
The single was pressed in 1980 (and more then probably recorded in 1979) on the band's own A SUSPECT RECORDING label, catalogue number ELO 1.
The songs are: DRACULA / CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS.
The single does not come with a P/S and I don't think ever came with one, but comes with an ORIGINAL INFO DIE CUT SLEEVE and the condition of the VINYL is only VG to VG+ condition (light scuffs /marks that do not effect play), DIE CUT HAND WRITTEN PROMO SLEEVE is in VG+++ condition (age spots).
DON'T LET THIS RARE DIY PUNK / WAVE single get away as you will never see another one soon.
