Split Enz True Colours LP 1980 US Laser-Etched Vinyl NM Red/Green Jacket Shrink Hype


Up for sale is a rare collector's copy of Split Enz – True Colours, released in 1980 on A&M Records (Catalog # SP-4822). This historic release features the industry's first-ever holographic laser-etched graphic vinyl, designed to display shifting patterns in the light.


This specific copy features the highly sought-after original Red & Green geometric jacket variation (Red background with green triangles and thick black borders).


Condition & Details:


Vinyl (Media): Near Mint (NM) – Laser-etched graphic pressing. Played only two times since being purchased brand new. Glossy and pristine with clean labels and clear sound.


Jacket (Sleeve): Near Mint (NM) – Original Red/Green jacket variation. Retains its original factory shrink wrap (opened cleanly along the right edge). Features the original factory hype sticker ("See True Colours on this Laser-etched graphic Record") and a vintage Sound Factory retail price tag ($8.10).


Inner Sleeve: Near Mint (NM) – Original custom photo/picture inner sleeve included and completely crisp.
