This is A RARE AND IN DEMAND UK DIY PUNK / PUNK / SPLIT single by the bands SPUNKY ONIONS / GHETTO BERRIES from 1979, ORIGINAL PRESSING AND A MUST !!!
This single is rumored to be from 1979 according to the MESSTHETICS website, although it could be a 1980 release...
Although this is a split single between 2 bands: SPUNKY ONIONS and GHETTO BERRIES, they are supposed to be the same band, the music is similar to what THE HOMOSEXUALS were doing in the DIY vain, and this was there only release !!!
The single came out on the band's own TEMPLEBEAT RECORDS, catalogue number TR 111.
The E.P. is titled : "THE SPUNKY ONIONS MEET THE GHETTO BERRIES".
The songs are: SPUNKY ONIONS - HOW I LOST MY VIRGINITY, GHETTO BERRIES - THE SECRET LIFE OF NAPOLEAN SOLO / SPUNKY EXPRESS.
The single comes with the ORIGINAL VERY THIN FLIMSY PAPER P/S, and the condition of the VINYL is in VG-/G+ condition (some marks, played with some crackle), ORIGINAL THIN PAPER SLEEVE is in VG-/G+ condition (the sleeve shows age stains, and the top seam is torn apart, there are also ramplings at the opening).
DON'T LET THIS RARE DIY PUNK / PUNK single get away as you will never see another and especially not in this condition.
