A&M PRESS PACK FOR SQUEEZE ALBUM COOL FOR CATS, MARCH 1979
Still in its original outrageous dayglo pink press folder, this is the original press pack put out by the PR department of A&M Records in March 1979 to publicise Squeeze's long-awaited second album, Cool For Cats.
It contains a photo of the new Squeeze line-up (John Bentley - ex of the Video Kings - had just replaced bassist Harry Kakoulli, even though it's Kakoulli's bass playing you hear on Cool for Cats) - a 10x8in black and white picture on official A&M-branded paper.
It also contains a two-page official biog, dated March 1979, in which Glenn Tilbrook predicts: 'This album will not only re-establish us, it will talso take us a lot further.' Unlike the usual record release hype, he was right.
The album had a dozen new Squeeze songs, characterised by witty lyrics, and produced by Velvet Underground's John Cale.
This press pack is in EXCELLENT CONDITION.
